Gone home...

Just thought I would let you all know that Mary's husband Larry passed away on Monday. He lived less than 2 hours after they removed the respirator. Along with the paralysis he had lost his eyesight.

Jess on the other hand seems to be doing better and better. Not that he doesn't have problems. He continues to get fluid in his stomach so moving him to South Davis is delayed again for at least another week.

I had a good visit with him today. When Doris told him that I had brought her to the hospital and was there he actually waved his arm to tell me to get over there. He took my hand and had a Hugh grin on his face. That meant a lot to me. Doris and I stood at his bed and visited about all kinds of things, he was listening to us and smiling here and there in our conversation. It will sure be nice when he is closer to home, and can get the tracheotomy out so he can talk. I asked him if he was just hanging around till spring so he doesn't have to do any shoveling, he just smiled and nodded his head.

I really do love Jess. He has such a great sense of humor, and is just such a nice man.

I am so sorry to hear about Larry. Please pass my love and sympathy on to Mary and the kids. I know it will be hard. I am glad that he didn't have to live with a lot of health issues, though. I sure don't want to have to.

I'm sorry to hear about Mary's husband. I know Mary, but I don't know that I have ever met Larry.

I'm glad to hear that Jess is doing better. Hopefully he will continue to improve.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary's loss.

I haven't seen Jess or any of Dan's family since we lived in Farmington, but I do remember what a nice man Jess and the family was and is.

I will pray for him, that he will improve.

I'm glad Grandpa could somewhat interact with you. Its hard when he doesn't because you have no clue what to say.
