Hurray for Legacy Parkway

I am excited for the opening of Legacy Parkway this Saturday! No I don't commute but there is a nice paved bike/walking path the whole length of the road. In the last 2 weeks Dan and I have snuck on 3 times and biked almost the whole thing, which is only 18 miles, and it's so nice. I have wanted to ride my bike during the day but there is so much traffic I'm always to nervous to do it. Now I have a safe place to ride. They have done a very nice job on the Parkway, everything is quite attractive. It should make Dan's commute a little smoother as well.

Your next mission is to take the camera biking with you and snap pictures! Don't bike and snap photo's at the same time though!

Ang is right. We will need photographic evidence of both the bike trail, and you and Dan riding it. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Amen, Julie! I have been anxiously waiting for the Legacy Highway for more than a decade now. I don't commute either, but I cringe every time I need to go south in the afternoon because I know that coming home will be a nightmare. It's too bad that they are going to wait another decade to extend the highway to Ogden. While I'm excited about the highway opening I worry that there will still be a huge bottleneck in Farmington where the highway ends.

If there is a nice bike trail I may need to load up my bike onto my car and go check it out. I hate riding my bike on the roads.

I have been looking forward to it for my rare trips out that way; however, I have no clue how to get on it from this end. I just hope it does what it is supposed to do because I hate the traffic coming out that way!!

Can you believe the amount of money it took to make that 18 mile hyway and the penalties and fines.....I sure hope it is worth it.....
